Class description:
While we recommend you have some throwing experience to get the most out of this workship, it's open to anyone who wants an intensive practice into wheel throwing.
During this 4-week series, we will talk about mastering specific shapes, and concentrate on forms becoming more consistent. Each week will feature a different throwing challenge. To help students become attached to the process and not the product, students will cut every piece apart on the wheel to judge their progress.
Students will also have access to additional practice in open studio hours.
**We're warning you now! Participants in this class will not keep ANY pieces. Be prepared to cut everything apart!**
Who can participate: While we're big kids at heart, Half Moon isn't quite set up for kids' classes quite yet. We're hoping to have some kid-friendly offerings later this year. For safety reasons, our classes are currently open to artists age 15 and older.
Registration tips: Our studio has 6 wheels, so there are only 6 spots total available in classes. The shopping cart will automatically update and will not allow you to purchase more spots than we have available. Spots go quickly, so get to clicking!
Wheel Bootcamp | Wednesdays w/ Whitney
Your spot in class is a space we block off just for you! Our small class sizes allow for more one-on-one instruction, but that also means cancellations make a big impact. In our series classes, we allow cancellations until a week before class. Any cancellations made 6 - 3 days before the first class will only qualify for a 50% refund, unless we're able to re-book your spot. Cancellations made later than 2 days before class will unfortunately be ineligible for a refund.
