Description:

Beyond death and loss, grief can arise from life changes, health, employment or even the collective grief we may feel as a community. Although each of us will encounter grief, processing it can be an isolating experience.

Join artist Rhonda Willers (Practices in Transformation: Grief, gratitude, love and time) and art therapist Ann E. Zimmerman as we connect our emotional journey to a physical experience by forming clay. We will explore themes in grief, and discuss what an altar can provide - whether it's a daily space for remembering loved ones, or simply a physical invitation to connect you with your inner self.

You are invited to bring 2-3 small items representing the grief(s) you are creating an altar for. These might take the form of photographs, notes, or small objects. We will use these items as inspiration for designing your altar form.

Generate intentional love and energy that can become a small part of your everyday space as we create together.

All skill levels welcome, no experience required.
