Class description: learn (or refresh) foundational skills including throwing, trimming and glazing techniques. Class price includes all tools, clay, and kiln firings.

Whitney's favorite question to ask grown ups is "when is the last time you were bad at something on purpose?" 
 
If you've never taken a "real" pottery class and you're worried about messing up, Whitney's classes are for you. In her classes, students learn primarily through failure - so accidental messes are encouraged over accidental masterpieces.
 
While learning basic wheel skills is a byproduct of the class, Whitney's primary goal is for her students to build confidence in their own creative abilities. 
 
Who can participate: While we're big kids at heart, Half Moon isn't quite set up for kids' classes quite yet. We're hoping to have some kid-friendly offerings later this year. For safety reasons, our classes are currently open to artists age 15 and older.
