Class description:

This sweet little series is part creativity, part mindfulness exercise. As the days are the shortest and darkest of the year, come to the studio for a couple hours to bring relaxation through tactile creativity.

We will concentrate on a single project: teacup and saucer sets, through this 3-week series. Long after the workshop is complete, you'll be left with vessels that bring you back to your intention and make you smile through the rest of the winter.

Resident handbuilder Katie J will guide you through identifying what your ideal form looks like, and week by week will help you shape with your hands, add details, and add paint or glaze to fit your vision. Final projects will be ready for pickup just in time for the New Year!

Who can participate: While we're big kids at heart, Half Moon isn't quite set up for kids' classes quite yet. We're hoping to have some kid-friendly offerings later this year. For safety reasons, our classes are currently open to artists age 15 and older.

  • Your spot in class is a space we block off just for you! Our small class sizes allow for more one-on-one instruction, but that also means cancellations make a big impact. In our series classes, we allow cancellations until a week before class. Any cancellations made 6 - 3 days before the first class will only qualify for a 50% refund, unless we're able to re-book your spot. Cancellations made later than 2 days before class will unfortunately be ineligible for a refund.

You are responsible to decide whether this class fits into your schedule - we are unable to give pro-rated refunds if you can't make it to every session.
